Synkro Today SynkroMotive designs, manufactures and supplies their product line of Electric Vehicle Components. SynkroMotive products combine state of the art power electronics with advanced software to address growing need to supply consumers with alternative methods of transportation. From motor controllers and battery monitoring/charging systems to stationary power management, SynkroMotive delivers performance, efficiency and safety in its high-quality electronic products. SynkroMotive also performs technical research and custom engineering services for clients who wish to develop or improve products that reduce transportation emissions, decrease greenhouse gases, and break dependence on foreign petroleum imports. Synkro’s History SynkroMotive was formed in January 2007 by David Boyd and Ives Meadors with the purpose of providing advanced electric vehicle drive and battery management systems. Mr. Boyd and Mr. Meadors met while working on a new EV platform and then they realized that they could improve on the currently available motor controls and battery management products on the market. Their passion for delivering reliable and cost competitive systems to electric vehicle OEM’s and independent builders of EVs has lead to the creation of unique hardware and software packages that go much further than simply powering an electric car. With a focus on combining advanced microprocessor control with efficient high power electronics, their expertise has led to additional developments in DC power management and control beyond what is available in the EV market today. |
